Vanderbilt Agrees to Four-Game Series with Colorado State

Vanderbilt has announced a four-game series with the Colorado State Rams in football beginning in 2020. The first game of the series will be the first meeting between the two schools.

According to the official announcement, the teams will meet in Nashville on September 26, 2020, followed by a game in Fort Collins on September 11, 2021. The third game in the series will be played in Nashville on September 27, 2025, and the final game will be played in Fort Collins on September 26, 2026.

In an interesting side note, Vanderbilt’s nonconference schedule for 2021 is already complete, with games scheduled against East Tennessee State, Stanford, and Houston in addition to the Colorado State game — an indication, perhaps, that Vanderbilt is confident that the Southeastern Conference wlll not be implementing a nine-game conference schedule any time soon.
