Vaughn is from Nashville’s Pearl-Cohn High. He was a four-star prospect out of high school in 2015.
He ran for 1,024 yards and nine touchdowns in two years with Illinois.
Per NCAA transfer rules, Vaughn will sit out the 2017 season and seems likely to compete for the Commodores’ starting job in 2018.
