Three up:
1. Salvaging the Finale:
After losing its first two SEC games for the first time since 2012, Vanderbilt got a much needed win to bump its conference record to 1-2 on Sunday afternoon, avoiding a sweep. Vanderbilt hitters delivered eight hits with men in scoring position en route to a 12-6 win. The Commodores led 8-1 after three innings, and Kyle Wright pitched well enough in five innings of work to earn the win. Mississippi State starter Daniel Brown was pulled in the third inning, ending a streak of strong pitching by Bulldog starters in a game the Commodores held on to win.
