Three-star guard Maxwell Evans commits to Vanderbilt basketball

Bryce Drew has his second commit as Vanderbilt’s head coach. Shooting guard Maxwell Evans announced he’s coming to Nashville for his college career on Sunday.

Evans is a three-star prospect, according to Rivals.com. The Houston, TX native is rising up the recruiting ranks after growing three inches leading up to his senior year of high school. He currently stands 6’2 and can play either guard position, but he seems more suited to be an off-the-ball specialist. He turned down scholarship offers from Kansas State, Houston, Purdue, and Wake Forest -- among others — to play for Drew and the Commodores.
