Tenacious defense gives Mason his first SEC win

While poor offense and great punting dictated most of the plays for both teams, Vanderbilt looked past their previous troubles and eked out a 10-3 victory over the Missouri Tigers.

Four big moments defined this game as Vanderbilt notched their first SEC win since the memorable victory against Tennessee back in late 2013.

“Fumble” at Kickoff

Almost immediately, the SEC referees missed an easy call. Commodore Khari Blasingame slammed into Missouri returner John Gibson and forced a seemingly obvious fumble that would have put the Commodores in the red-zone.
