The Vanderbilt soccer team is coming off a 3-1 victory over Kennesaw State on March 11th. The Commodores absolutely controlled that game. Possession was 76-24 in their favor. Vanderbilt had a shots advantage of 14 to 5. The problem becomes apparent when you realize shots on goal were only 4 to 2 for the entire match. Control did not turn into scoreboard dominance until three goals were scored in 3:41 starting with Madi Allen’s 66th minute header then continuing with further headers by Raegan Kelley and Haley Hopkins. Madison Elwell assisted on all three goals.
Tonight’s opponent will require a much more polished performance.
