Vanderbilt's most decorated athlete doesn't play football, basketball, or baseball.
Simone Charley (not pictured above, because our photowire hates Vanderbilt, apparently) is a two-time All-SEC honoree on the soccer field. As of Saturday, she's now a five-time All-American when it comes to the triple jump.
The junior two-sport athlete claimed a second-place finish at the 2016 NCAA Championships with a school-record jump of 45 feet and 2.5 inches. She finished only behind Georgia's Keturah Orji, who set a collegiate record with a jump of 47 feet, eight inches. Charley was the only Commodore, male or female, to place at the biggest meet of the outdoor track season.
