Shooting guard Jordan Wright commits to Vanderbilt

With potentially five scholarships to give for the 2019-20 season, Jerry Stackhouse had some work to do in his first few weeks as Vanderbilt’s head basketball coach.

On Friday, that work started to pay off.

Jordan Wright, a shooting guard from New Orleans who now plays at the Dunham School in Baton Rouge, chose Vanderbilt over a competing offer from Tulane on Friday. Wright is currently ranked #312 nationally in the 247 Sports composite.

At 6’6” and 200 pounds, Wright has good size for the shooting guard position and fills a major need for depth at the position.
