Scotty Pippen Jr. named first-team All-SEC

In spite of a 3-13 SEC record, the Vanderbilt Commodores had a player named to the All-SEC first team on Tuesday.

Scotty Pippen Jr. was named First Team All-SEC in the SEC’s men’s basketball postseason awards, announced on Tuesday morning. The 6’3” sophomore from Los Angeles played in 20 games this season and ranked second in the SEC with 20.6 ppg, and he also ranked second in the SEC averaging 4.8 assists per game. Along with Pippen, the other first team selections were Herbert Jones and John Petty Jr. from Alabama, Arkansas’s Moses Moody, Florida’s Tre Mann, LSU’s Cameron Thomas, Ole Miss’s Devontae Shuler, and Missouri’s Dru Smith.
