Ohio State wide receiver Alex Stump, a former four-star recruit who made one catch for the Buckeyes in 2016, has announced that he is transferring to Vanderbilt.
Stump (6 feet 3, 210), from the Cleveland area, was part of Ohio State’s 2015 recruiting class; he redshirted that season, then saw action in one game last season, the Buckeyes’ rout of Rutgers.
Stump will sit out the 2017 season, barring any transfer restrictions being waived by the NCAA. If he does sit out, he will join Illinois transfer running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn on the Commodores’ sideline this season.
