3. Kentucky RB Benny Snell Jr.
The skinny: Kentucky allowed a TD to South Carolina on the first play from scrimmage, but the Snell-led Wildcats kept grinding throughout and emerged with a 23-13 victory to move to 3-0 for the first time since 2010. Snell finished with 102 yards and two TDs on 32 carries, and most were bruising between-the-tackle efforts; his longest rush was 12 yards. He carried the ball on 44 percent of UK’s offensive snaps (32 of 73); in the second half, the he carried on 18 of UK’s 34 snaps (53 percent).
