To keep Alabama’s run of dominance over Vanderbilt going for another year, Alabama safety Minkah Fitzpatrick says the Crimson Tide can’t afford to get caught sleeping.
Fitzpatrick said Vanderbilt’s deep threats mean the Alabama defense must remain on guard, part of an interview posted by the athletic department before Saturday’s SEC matchup in Nashville.
“They make you sleep in the secondary and then beat you over the top,” Fitzpatrick said.

That’s an accurate description of a Vanderbilt offense that’s suddenly become a big-play machine during the first three games of the season.
