Former Starter Will Play Elsewhere
Multiple sources (among them VandyMania and Vandy247) are reporting that Johnny McCrary has announced his intention to transfer from Vanderbilt. Wherever he goes, he will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out.
McCrary was, by some accounts, one of the best dual-threat QB prospects in America when he signed with the Commodores. But when the coaching staff changed, he never seemed to get the confidence of the new staff and struggled with turnovers. He was part of a four-man carousel of passers in 2014, won the starting job in 2015, and will now look to continue his career elsewhere - which is honestly not a shock once you've had three offensive coordinators in as many years.
