Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson: RB Ralph Webb a downhill threat for Vandy

No eye candy? No problem. Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson believes Vanderbilt running back Ralph Webb’s no-frills approach could mean big trouble in Saturday’s matchup.

While fans know Georgia Tech for its option-based running game, Johnson is focused on the more direct approach of Webb for the teams’ clash.

Johnson highlighted Webb’s power and durability on the “Paul Johnson Radio Show” on Monday night, ahead of Saturday’s matchup at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

“They don’t have a lot of eye candy, a lot of formations, a lot of motion,” Johnson said. “But they’re an old-school, power-I football team.
