Georgia stuns Auburn; Patterson has memorable debut for Ole Miss; UF, UT win

Here’s a look at the SEC action from the 11th Saturday of the season.

Florida 20, South Carolina 7

The Gators (7-2, 5-2) stayed alone in first place in the SEC East by downing the Gamecocks (5-5, 3-5). Florida dominated through three quarters and led 20-0 after three periods; two red zone turnovers in the first half kept the Gators from taking complete control. South Carolina didn’t score until the fourth quarter. Austin Appleby, who started in place of an injured Luke Del Rio, played well for the Gators, going 17-of-21 for 201 yards and two TDs.
