After opening the season with three consecutive night games, in Week 4, Vanderbilt will resume its rightful place in the 11 AM time slot.
I had thought that this would be a night game, but ESPN had other plans, electing to air an Alabama beatdown of Southern Miss in primetime. Instead, Vanderbilt’s September 25 home game against Georgia will be an early kickoff on the SEC Network.
The other slight surprise: Texas A&M-Arkansas is the 2:30 PM CBS game. That one seems like it’s always an early kickoff at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, but with the Aggies and Razorbacks both likely 3-0 and ranked in the Top 25 (assuming they take care of business this Saturday against, respectively, New Mexico and Georgia Southern) heading into this one, it’s pretty clearly the most attractive SEC game of Week 4.
