Tense wins still are wins. And a 59-0 loss definitely isn’t. So Florida fans should be – should be – feeling more confident than their Vanderbilt counterparts this week.
The Gators have no shortage of questions about their offense and their quarterback(s), but after nail-biting victories over Tennessee and Kentucky, they’re still unbeaten in the conference. That’s no longer true of Vanderbilt, where the team is still licking its wounds after a pounding at the hands of Alabama.
Florida has won 25 of the past 26 matchups in the series – the only exception was the Commodores’ 34-17 victory in Gainesville during 2013, which marked one of several memorably negative moments during Will Muschamp’s Gators tenure.
