Florida runs past Vanderbilt, Arkansas cruises against New Mexico State

Florida 38, Vanderbilt 24

The host Gators (3-1 overall, 3-0 in the SEC) ramped up their rushing attack to down the Commodores (3-2, 0-2). Florida got five rushing touchdowns from its running backs; its running backs had not scored a rushing touchdown in the past nine games. UF outrushed Vandy 218-46. Sophomore Lamical Perine rushed for 58 yards and three scores and true freshman Malik Davis had 124 yards and two touchdowns. Luke Del Rio started at quarterback for the Gators, but he suffered a shoulder injury in the second quarter and former starter Feleipe Franks led UF to 24 points, including a clutch drive to a field goal at the end of the first half.
