Somehow, in a week in which two games were postponed due to COVID-19 and Alabama’s head coach and athletic director both tested positive, the SEC let this slip.
Multiple SEC schools will have revenue from the conference deducted as a result of not following proper COVID-19 protocols, sources told ESPN.
Yeah, it definitely seemed like there was a reason why Greg Sankey sent around that memo last week about fines for not following protocols. Somebody (apparently, multiple somebodies) was not following the league’s virus protocols. And back in August, all the talk was about how we couldn’t play buy games against G5 and FCS teams because we couldn’t trust them to follow the same protocols as everyone else because of a lack of resources.
