Even with a bowl game basically a given because of a high APR score, Vanderbilt has a great deal to play for when it plays host to Tennessee on Saturday night.
Besides it being “Senior Day” and a rivalry game, “it’s about taking the next step,” Vandy coach Derek Mason said this week.
“Doing the things we set out to do at the beginning of the year, to be relevant,” Mason said. “This opportunity in front of us would really cement exactly what we’ve been able to do in terms of building a culture.
