Manchester, Tennessee, native Alontae Taylor committed to Vanderbilt on Tuesday, a few short days after Vanderbilt's 17-13 win over MTSU, 30 minutes down the road from his home town.
Taylor, who plays quarterback now, is a four-star recruit and the 94th-ranked prospect in the nation, according to 247Sports. He is also the 7th-ranked dual-threat quarterback and 5th-ranked prospect in the state of Tennessee.
Although the high school sophomore currently plays quarterback, Taylor's future position once he reaches college is yet to be determined.
"I think I'll probably play wide receiver or defensive back in college," Taylor said in an interview with 247Sports' Barton Simmons.
