Fresh off a 14-7 victory over 18th-ranked Kansas State — its first over a ranked non-conference opponent since 1946 — Vanderbilt welcomes in top-ranked Alabama on Saturday. What will the Commodores have to do to pull off the upset of upsets and stop the Tide’s 21-game winning streak in the series? Well, just about everything basically.

They’ll have to play a perfect game in all three phases, meaning no drops by wide receivers and no penalties by its offensive line. Defensively, they’ll have to stop Alabama from running and force them to beat them passing the ball. Finally, they’ll need Alabama to make mistakes because the talent gap is so wide.
