Buehler's gem spoiled in Vanderbilt's shutout loss

Buehler dealt another gem Saturday – one run allowed over 6.2 innings with six strikeouts – but took his second loss of the year because of a lack of run support as the Commodores fell 1-0 loss to Alabama.

This was the fourth start this year that Buehler has allowed two runs or less and not picked up a win.

Buehler held the Crimson Tide to seven hits and didn’t allow multiple baserunners in an inning until the sixth. The junior right-hander allowed two singles to start the inning, and allowed a third one to Cody Henry with two outs that ended up being the game’s only run.
