Ro Coleman extended his hitting streak to 11 games with two hits. Dansby Swanson, Zander Wiel and Tyler Campbell all added two hits to the Dores' 10-hit total. Matt Beaty led Belmont with two hits, including his tenth home run of the season.
Belmont starter Patrick McGrath threw seven solid innings. The lefty gave up two runs on 10 hits with six strikeouts.
Vanderbilt took an early lead in the third inning with a two-rally from Coleman and Swanson. Coleman hit a double down the right field line before Swanson tripled into right field for a 1-0 lead.
