Tim Corbin coaches Vanderbilt in baseball, not football. But the Commodores’ football squad took his message to heart Saturday against Ole Miss.
Vanderbilt football coach Derek Mason said Corbin’s message a day before storming back from an early 10-point deficit to defeat Ole Miss 38-17 Saturday made an impact on the result.
“The big point he made was not to be fearful of success,” Mason said. “Give it everything you have and let go. Play the game you love. Play it to the best of your ability.”
Mason said he invited Corbin to speak to the Commodores.
