Shawn Stankavage barely saw the field in four years at Vanderbilt thanks to injuries, and now he’ll be leaving the program.
The Rice Owls announced via Twitter this morning that Stankavage would be joining their program as a graduate transfer, ending his Vanderbilt career. Stankavage completed one pass for six yards in the Alabama A&M game in 2017, which constituted his only game action at Vanderbilt. Injuries derailed both his 2015 and 2016 campaigns, and it’s likely that he can apply for a sixth year of eligibility at Rice if he wants to.
