The former Commodore long snapper became engaged to girlfriend Shawn Johnson at a Chicago Cubs game on July 24, 2015.
After Johnson and Quinn threw their pitches, East knelt down on Wrigley Field and asked Johnson to marry him. She (of course) said yes.
East was a member of the Commodore football team for five years. He red shirted his first year in 2010, but became the team's primary long snapper for the next four years after that.
While at Vanderbilt, East completed his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and then started studying for his MBA at the Owen Graduate School of Management.
