So, you get to hear me talk about golf today. That’s because the U.S. Open tees off today, and included in that is Vanderbilt golfer John Augenstein, who earned a spot in the Open by virtue of his runner-up finish at the 2019 U.S. Amateur. Under normal circumstances, Augenstein would have graduated and turned professional by now, but with the Open and the Masters both pushed back to the fall, Augenstein has had to remain an amateur or he forfeits his spot in those two events.
