Vanderbilt pounded Kentucky by an 8-2 score on Friday night, setting up the series (and regular season) finale this afternoon at 2 PM CT on the SEC Network+. And thanks to Tennessee’s loss to South Carolina last night, Vanderbilt simply needs to win today to clinch the SEC East title, though the overall SEC title is out of reach with Arkansas still a game and a half up on the Commodores. (Thanks, rain, for cancelling that Sunday game against Alabama.)
As for last night’s game, well, Vanderbilt came back from a 2-0 deficit and then piled it on in the late innings.
