After several days of players entering the transfer portal, coaches getting the ax, and whatever the hell that basketball game was on Wednesday night... well, it’s probably a good thing that the most newsworthy thing that happened to Vanderbilt athletics on Thursday was multiple football players, including sophomore linebacker Langston Patterson, announcing plans to return to Vanderbilt next season.
(I’m going to go curmudgeon for a minute. Why is it even newsworthy that guys who have eligibility remaining are returning? Why is this something we announce on social media now?
