Ethan Paul’s two homers carried Vanderbilt to a 6-1 win over Evansville at Hawkins Field last night. On the mound, Reid Schaller made his first career start and pitched three perfect frames. Vanderbilt improved to 23-14 on the season and will now go to Missouri on Thursday.
Today, the women’s golf team will open the SEC Championship at 8:50 AM CT. Vanderbilt has won the conference title twice before, in 2004 and 2014. This year’s tournament will be held at the Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, which was also the site of the Commodores’ 2014 win.
