Alabama 49, Tennessee 10
The top-ranked Crimson Tide (7-0 overall, 4-0 in the SEC) jumped out to a 14-0 first-quarter lead and didn’t let the host Vols (5-2, 2-2) back in it in the rout. Alabama outgained Tennessee 594-163. The Tide’s rushing attack rolled up 439 yards on 49 carries – 8.9 yards per attempt; the Vols, meanwhile, had 32 yards on 32 carries. It was Alabama’s first 400-yard day on the ground since 1992 against Tulane. The Vols were 3-of-16 on third down and punted 10 times.
