As Derek Mason prepares to coach Vanderbilt against Florida on Saturday, he knows own daughter is – sort of – on the opposite side.
That’s because while Mason takes his Commodores team into Gainesville for the SEC clash at Steve Spurrier-Florida Field, his daughter Makenzie is part of the Gators’ women’s lacrosse squad.
As reported by Chris Harry of FloridaGators.com, Derek Mason is OK with that – but with an important caveat. “She just knows that when she comes back to the house, she better not have on any Gator gear,” he said.
