In a need of a boost to its passing game, Vanderbilt added one of its targets at wide receiver. Three-star wide receiver Chris Pierce committed to the Commodores on Monday, by way of an animated post on Twitter.
Pierce (6 feet 4, 212 pounds) will add size to a Commodores passing game that struggled for most of 2016.
A three-star prospect from Smithfield (Va.) High, Pierce — who had 24 TD receptions in his final two seasons of high school football — also was on the radar of Virginia and several other programs.
