The Vanderbilt recruiting momentum just keeps building and the latest addition to the Commodores’ 2018 class comes all the way from South Florida.

Three-star safety Maxwell Worship became the latest commitment to Vanderbilt, announcing his decision on Twitter Thursday morning:

Worship, a 6-foot-1, 187-pound safety, attends Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons and was rated as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports composite system.

Vanderbilt beat out SEC East rival Kentucky to bring Worship on board. Other Power Five offers for the safety included North Carolina, North Carolina State, Syracuse, Indiana, Iowa and Rutgers.

Worship becomes the 13th commitment in the 2017 class for the Commodores and the second safety, joining Dashaun Jerkins.
