New Vanderbilt commitment Gavin Schoenwald has high hopes for the Commodores and isn’t shy about expressing that opinion.
“I’m going to do every single thing that I can to help Vanderbilt get every recruit that they want,” he told GN. “I committed (last Thursday) and my job started about two minutes after I hung up that phone call, so I’m ready to go.”
Schoenwald (6 feet 5, 225 pounds), from perennial power Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy in the Nashville suburbs, is among the top 20 prospects in Tennessee for the class of 2018. He chose Vanderbilt over offers from, among others, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.
