The Vanderbilt Commodores picked up another commitment on Friday night, this time from Woodbridge (VA) DB Dashaun Jerkins.
Jerkins is a 6’0”, 190-pound safety whom Rivals rates as a three-star prospect and the #18 prospect in the state of Virginia, while the 247 Sports composite rating considers him the #34 safety prospect in the Class of 2018 and the #10 prospect in Virginia. 247’s own in-house ratings are even more bullish, giving Jerkins a four-star rating and the #274 prospect in the class.
Vanderbilt beat out a host of ACC schools for Jerkins — not terribly surprising, given his home state, but Jerkins had offers from Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Pitt, and Wake Forest, among others.
