2018 St. Xavier (KY) OL Wyatt Smock Commits to the Commodores

Vanderbilt’s recent roll on the recruiting trail continued on Wednesday as Wyatt Smock, a 2018 OL from Louisville (KY) St. Xavier, announced his commitment via Twitter.

Smock, a 6’4”, 290-pound lineman, chose Vanderbilt over competing offers from Arkansas, Louisville, and Purdue, among others. Rivals rates Smock as a three-star prospect, the #35 offensive guard prospect in the Class of 2018, and the #5 prospect in the state of Kentucky. The 247 Sports composite rates Smock as the #44 offensive guard in the class.

Smock is the ninth commitment to date in Vanderbilt’s 2018 recruiting class, and the second offensive lineman after Dan Dawkins.
