The absence of an early signing period in college football means that the last month or so of the recruiting cycle can become a circus, but some guys avoid all that by finishing high school a semester early and then enrolling in college. While student-athletes can’t officially sign a Letter of Intent until February — they can enroll in college for the spring semester, putting an end to the recruiting process.
One came with much fanfare, and the other, apparently, with a tweet. Safety commit Tae Daley, a 5’11”, 175-pounder from Warner Robins (GA) Northside), and Dimitri Moore, a 6’2”, 195-pound linebacker from Cedar Hill (TX), will enroll at Vanderbilt in January and participate in spring football.
