VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Thursday that the club has loaned forward David Egbo to Phoenix Rising FC.
The 22-year old Nigerian native will be joining the USL Championship side through the end of the 2021 USL Championship season – pending the receipt of his visa. The loan includes an option to recall the forward.
“We always consider what is the right platform for a player to get the minutes they need,” said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC sporting director and chief executive officer. “David hasn’t played for more than a year now and was still recovering from a previous injury.
