VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Tuesday that midfielder Deybi Flores will join Honduran side Club Deportivo Motagua on loan through December 2016 – pending receipt of his international transfer certificate.
“Deybi is a bright young talent,” said Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson. “He has a lot of potential, but he needs to be playing games. When the opportunity for Deybi became available to return to Motagua on loan, all parties believed that this was the best arrangement for his development.”
Prior to joining Whitecaps FC in February 2015, Flores spent two years with CD Motagua, starting 16 of 21 appearances.
