Vancouver Whitecaps FC have partnered with the Northwest Territories Soccer Association to launch an official Whitecaps Academy Centre program. Boys and girls U-9 to U-14 have the opportunity to participate in the program with limited spots available.
The Academy programming will be led by Vancouver-based Whitecaps FC coaching staff, with the main goal to help develop a stronger connection to the soccer community in Yellowknife and the surrounding areas.
“We’re looking for motivated players who want to take their game to the next level,” said Marinos Papageorgopoulos, Whitecaps FC Academy Centre director. “In addition to the Academy in the Northwest Territories, players who are excelling will have opportunities to be identified to participate in various High Potential Player (HPP) events in the future.
