Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau suffers fractured thumb

REUNION, FL – Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau suffered a fractured left thumb during the second half of Sunday’s match against Seattle Sounders FC. Crépeau will be scheduled to undergo surgery in Metro Vancouver and the club will continue to provide updates when available.

“I am very thankful for all the messages of support I’ve received from all over the globe,” added Crépeau. “It touched me and my family deeply. I will always give everything I have on the field and this is just a minor setback for a major comeback. I hope to see you all soon.
