Whitecaps FC defender/midfielder Brett Levis undergoes successful knee surgery

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Tuesday that 23-year-old defender/midfielder Brett Levis underwent successful surgery this morning to repair an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in his right knee.

“We’re happy to hear the surgery went well and fully anticipate Brett will be back training with the group at the start of summer,” said Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson.

Levis suffered the injury in Vancouver’s Major League Soccer regular season finale, his MLS debut, on October 23.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native signed an MLS contract on August 23 and made five official first team appearances this year.
