VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Thursday that Chris Sargeant has been named head coach of the Girls Elite Regional EXCEL (REX) Super Centre in partnership with BC Soccer.
Sargeant has worked as a coach in the Girls Elite REX program since 2015, as well as acting as assistant technical director with Mountain United FC. Sargeant was previously head coach of the Quest University women’s soccer team, and assistant coach with the Simon Fraser University women’s team.
“Chris is very well liked by the current and former players in our program, and highly respected by parents, staff and colleagues in the soccer community,” said Dan Lenarduzzi, Whitecaps FC director of soccer development.
