VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Monday that the club has acquired D.C. United’s natural 2018 second round MLS SuperDraft selection (26th overall) in exchange for the MLS rights to goalkeeper David Ousted.
Per the conditions of the agreement, should Ousted be traded to another MLS team prior to the 2018 roster freeze, Whitecaps FC would receive $100,000 in General Allocation Money. Whitecaps FC will also retain 50 per cent of any future transfer fees.
“We are thankful to David for his five seasons in Vancouver,” said Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson.
