VANCOUVER, BC – The Canadian Championship run came to an end for Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Wednesday night at BC Place after falling 2-1 to Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League.
Jordan Brown found the back of the net early in the match but Inbeom Hwang would tie it up in the 67th minute with a strike from the top of the box. Dominick Zator got the final goal of the night off a corner to close out the 2-1.
As July winds down, the ‘Caps kicked off their sixth match this month in all competitions and head coach Marc Dos Santos started a 4-3-3 formation with Doneil Henry wearing the captain’s armband for the first time.
