Following their participation in the 2016 U-13 CONCACAF Champions League, Vancouver Whitecaps FC’s young Residency players continued their week in Mexico City with a friendly match against Jamaica’s Harbour View FC on Wednesday.
In another strong overall performance from the group, the ‘Caps won 4-2 over their Caribbean opponents.
The Jamaicans came out strong with a physical, skillful, and fast strikers and took an early 1-0 lead. But our Canadian boys responded with two good goals – first from Mass Habbibulah, followed by an excellent volley from Kam Habbibullah to go up 2-1.
Harbour View FC answered right back on a superb free kick hit well into the top corner from the edge of the 18-yard box to make it 2-2 at halftime.
