Residency Report: U-14 'Caps put in strong performance in 2-0 win

Whitecaps FC Development Academy matches for the U-15, U-17, and U-19 squads scheduled for Saturday in Seattle were postponed, however the U-14 ‘Caps were in action on Sunday against Surrey United SC U-15 boys. After a hard fought match with a number of good performances, the ‘Caps earned a 2-0 win on goals from Jay Herdman and Isaac Milambo.

The U-14s looked hungry from the start and began the match brightly. Goalkeeper Max Anchor came up with a big early save the keep the match scoreless. The ‘Caps were then rewarded for their play as Milambo unselfishly cut the ball across the box to Herdman, who found himself in front of next from six yards out and made no mistake, burying it for a 1-0 lead.
