While some were wondering if wantaway center-back Tim Parker would be playing Sunday against Montreal Impact but if reports are to be believed he will be heading eastward to New York Red Bulls.
Journalists Kristen Dyer and Sam Stejskal both have reported that Parker, who allegedly declined a new contract earlier this offseason, will be heading to the Big Apple for midfielder Felipe Martins, $225,000 in 2018 TAM, $275,000 in TAM for the 2019 season and a 2018 international spot. Both journalists are reporting that Parker will likely sign a new long-term deal when he arrives in New York, although it is unclear if NYRB will make him a Designated Player (they have on slot available after dealing Sacha Kljestan to Orlando City SC).
